Camping and Parks
- Catherine Creek: Day use park, hiking, Old Highway 8, no overnight camping.
- Doug's Beach: Day use park, windsurfing, picnic, sandy beach. 3 miles east of Lyle on SR14.
- Columbia Hills State Park: Petroglyphs, petroglyph tours, camping, swimming, boating. East of Dallesport on SR14. (509) 767-1159.
- Ice Plant Public Access: Camping available at the WDFW (Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife) property at the old ice house on SR 142, approximately 3 miles past the town of Klickitat. Located around MP15 on SR142 (maybe halfway between Wahkiakus and Suburbia. No Water and No electricity. Vault toilet. This is about a mile and a half downstream on the Klickitat from Swale Canyon connection. Because there is no bridge in Suburbia, those tackling an entire trail corridor experience need to bypass the dead-end segment on SR142 through this area.
- Klickitat-Balfour Park: Day use park, hiking, picnic, overlooking Klickitat River. Lyle.
